85 Engineering Teams to Compete at Morphine Motorsport Series in Coimbatore

Must Read

Morphine Motorsports has announced the Morphine Motorsport Series (MMS) Season 2, one of India’s leading student motorsport engineering championships, to be held from 4th to 7th October 2026 at CoASTT Kartmania, Coimbatore. The four-day event will bring together nearly 3,000 engineering students from across the country, making it one of the largest gatherings of aspiring automotive engineers in India.

The championship has attracted 85 engineering teams representing colleges and universities from over 15 states. The event serves as a national platform where students transform engineering concepts into real-world machines by designing, manufacturing, and testing their own vehicles. Every vehicle participating in the championship is conceived, engineered, built, and validated entirely by students, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience that goes far beyond classroom learning.

Unlike conventional racing events, the Morphine Motorsport Series is an engineering competition that evaluates not only on-track performance but also the technical capabilities of each team. Participants are assessed through design presentations, technical inspections, virtual evaluations, static events, and dynamic track challenges that test innovation, safety, manufacturing quality, and overall vehicle performance.

The competition features multiple categories, including Internal Combustion (IC) Go-Karts, Electric Go-Karts, and E-Moto, providing students with an opportunity to apply practical knowledge in vehicle design, chassis development, powertrain integration, manufacturing processes, electronics, project management, and teamwork.

A total of 45 awards will be presented across various categories, recognizing excellence in engineering design, innovation, manufacturing, technical performance, and competitive racing. The championship encourages students to solve real engineering challenges, foster innovation, and prepare themselves for careers in the automotive and mobility sectors.

Under the leadership of Mr. Azmat Hussain, Founder and CEO of Morphine Motorsports, and Mr. Yash Agrawal, Co-founder and COO, the organization continues to build a platform that bridges the gap between engineering education and industry. Through MMS, students gain practical exposure to professional engineering practices while collaborating, innovating, and competing alongside some of India’s brightest young engineers.

As student motorsport continues to grow in India, Morphine Motorsport Series Season 2 is expected to bring together engineering institutions, faculty members, industry professionals, and motorsport enthusiasts to celebrate innovation, technical excellence, and the future of automotive engineering.
