A Story of Survival, Secrets, and Strength

Set in the bustling bylanes of a South Indian city, End of the Day unearths the hidden life of Annie, a middle-aged staff member at an NGO advocating for sex workers’ rights. Behind her stoic public persona lies a storm of personal compromises — most hauntingly, the double life she leads to fund her daughter’s education.

The arrival of Sanju, a 22-year-old intern with ideals and questions, turns Annie’s carefully controlled world upside down. As secrets surface and generational divides clash, the film examines shame, agency, and the moral boundaries women are forced to navigate in a patriarchal society.

With the tagline “Sex, Shame, and a Mother’s Last Stand”, the film refuses to look away from the discomforting truths that lie at the intersection of gender, economics, and a shockingly CRUEL society thatlooks for predators.

Featuring a Bold and Talented Cast

The film is anchored by a compelling lead performance from Ajisha Prabhakaran as Annie, whose quiet strength and inner turmoil form the heart of the story. Rising star Pranav Prasanth delivers a sensitive portrayal of Sanju, the young intern whose presence unravels long-held truths. The supporting cast includes MOOR, JEO BAY, SHARMAJI, and VISHNU .I.P, each bringing depth and realism to the film’s emotionally charged world.

The Visionaries Behind the Film

At the helm are Nobin Kurian and Bibin Puthetthu, a creative duo known for their socially driven storytelling and cinematic realism. End of the Day marks their debut collaboration — an intersection of their shared passion for grounded, character-driven narratives and a deep empathy for marginal voices.

With backgrounds in filmmaking, art direction, and screenwriting, the duo delivers a cinematic experience that is as intimate as it is socially relevant. Their bold yet compassionate lens has already drawn comparisons to masters like Mira Nair and Ritesh Batra, known for redefining the contours of Indian indie cinema on the global stage.

The Backbone Behind the Vision

No creative vision is complete without a foundation — and End of the Day found its backbone in Lini Gijo, the film’s producer and founder of Green Pepper Productions. From development to completion, Lini’s unwavering belief in the story, her keen production insight, and her relentless support of the creative team brought the film to life against all odds.

Green Pepper Productions, under Lini’s stewardship, has positioned itself as a bold new force in regional and independent Indian cinema — championing stories that challenge conventions and celebrate authenticity. With End of the Day, Lini not only shepherded a brave story to screen, but helped craft an emotionally charged work that is both timely and timeless.

A Film That Demands Conversation

End of the Day is more than a film — it is a reflection of lives lived in silence. At a time when the autonomy of women is at the center of cultural and political discourse, this film boldly steps into the grey zones of morality, motherhood, and survival.

With mounting festival acclaim and audience resonance, End of the Day is poised to become one of the most talked-about Indian independent films of the year.
